A Growing Army to Fight the Legion

This week we have got two more of our sets to 100.  First we finished off our gnome monks that we started a few weeks ago, Tansy and Staplegunned.  I’m surprisingly enjoying windwalker.  We had attempted to make several monks before but I’ve always been mistweaver, not that I don’t enjoy it, just not my favorite healers.  But this time I liked it much better, and the fact that they were gnomes made them more awesome.  We are supposed to have matching mogs for them.  But I’m missing several key items from SoO, so for the moment Naz is in his but I’m roughing it.

After finishing our gnomes, we started working on one of the sets we had at 86, my shaman Elli, and his pally Ema.  With these two sets complete, that brings me to a total of 20 100’s and Naz to 18.  Not bad for an expansion, especially considering that we only did invasions on the last two sets and did quests on our monks more than anything.

We have done all the pre-patch events on Horde and Alliance.  I have to say, as someone who is Horde, that the Alliance broken shores scenario was much, much better, for me at least.  While they did both make me cry (which most cut scenes in WoW do) the Alliance one was truly awful.  It broke my heart for the Alliance.  I do think that it is much better to have seen both sides of it, to understand the full story of what happened.  So if you have toons of the opposite factions, I would highly recommend doing the quest line on them.

There is just one more day until Legion drops.  Honestly, I can’t believe it’s that soon.  I guess life has been so hectic lately that the time we had until Legion has flown by.  But I really do not feel prepared now.

EDIT: Forget all that about the ally broken shore being better, FOR THE HORDE.

EDIT to the EDIT: That was Naz.

Not Even the Legion Can Stop Us

The Legion is drawing near.  Our warchief has died.  Our towns are being invaded by demons.  But that still hasn’t stopped us from getting our shit done.

While our to-do list is insanely long we have powered through and pushed to finish the big achievements.  We both finished our 300 mount ach and then started on our 300 toy achievement.  We started farming toys and Naz was determined to get the snail toy from ToT.  It took him 590 kills before it dropped, but he got it.  I on the other hand have yet to go in there and spend a few days farming it.  He got his achievement before me and when he got it I was 100% sure that there was no way I would be able to get it before Legion.  But only 5 days later I have my ach and we both have another (ugly) mount added to our collection.  With all big collection achievements out of the way, we decided that we would spend the last 2 weeks of WoD actually relaxing and leveling some of our toons.  We will of course do the new content they put in weekly, but no more camping for awhile.

The first set we wanted to finish up were our Worgen.  We started them up again yesterday at 86 and got to 96 before calling it a night and today we finished them off.  We just did invasions every time they changed while questing (which is a million times easier when leveling a mage).  We didn’t even get to half the zones in WoD because it takes so long to collect all the treasures and do the bonus objectives.  But leveling is s-o-o-o-o hard.  With them finished I finally have a 100 mage on my main account and Naz has an Alliance lock to summon our low levels with.

Next up is our gnome monks.  Why?  Because they are adorable and they look like tiny hamsters when they roll.  Don’t judge me.

And invasions.  Ugh.  I think they did a wonderful job on this pre-expansion event.  I think it has a lot of things to do and experience and helps to bring the community together more.  But I have a serious issue with them.  All levels can participate in invasions, which is great.  But the majority of low levels that come to the invasions just sit on their asses and go afk to level without having to do anything.  I know 100’s do it too and that’s annoying enough.  But I don’t think that anyone should be able to level without doing anything at all.  I really, really hope that Blizzard fixes this and implements something that will require everyone to take part in the majority of the phases, and do a certain amount, before they  receive any reward for it.  Far too many people are taking advantage of this and being asshats.  I’ve done invasions on low levels.  I went out there at level 10 and hit things.  I did as much as I could.  All the mobs scale, so nobody has any reason to not actively participate in them.  If you don’t want to do anything, sit in Org and wait for your queue to pop like normal lazy people.  Don’t take advantage of all the other people working while you watch tv.  That just makes you a douche.  And when you max that toon, you didn’t earn it.  You didn’t earn anything at all.  You are cheating.  You are abusing the system so you can be lazy.  If you don’t want to work, go play Mario Cart and leave WoW alone.  Because you are the reason the game is going down hill.  And to all the low levels that fight during invasions, and run on their tiny little legs to bosses, high five.  Everyone else, fuck you.

Rant over.
